About The Winery
Country: France
Region: Corsica
Nicolas Mariotti Bindi is a unique figure in the Corsican wine landscape. A former lawyer who traded the courtroom for the vineyard, he learned the craft from the legendary Antoine Arena before establishing his own organic estate in Oletta. His philosophy is one of absolute purity and minimal intervention; he produces "living wines" that are deeply connected to the soil. The name "Albore" (meaning "Dawn" Corsican) perfectly encapsulates this cuvée: it is a wine of light, beginnings, and energy. Sourced from organic vines on the distinct clay-limestone soils of the Patrimonio area, this Vin de France is designed to be the purest, most immediate expression of the Vermentino grape, fermented with indigenous yeasts to capture the wild spirit of the island.
Terroir: The vines are rooted in the unique clay-limestone soils of Oletta (part of the Patrimonio amphitheater), which impart a distinct chalky minerality to the wine.
Style: A luminous and energetic white wine that focuses entirely on the tension and saline purity of Vermentino (Rolle), eschewing oak aging to deliver a crisp, thirst-quenching experience.
Vinification: Fermented exclusively in stainless steel tanks using only natural yeasts found on the grapes. Sulfur use is kept to an absolute minimum to preserve the wine's aromatic brilliance and natural vibration.
