About The Winery

Country: Italy
Region: Veneto

All the Bastianich vineyards are located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC. The deep connection the family has with the wine world takes us back generations. It dates back to the encounters with the most important winemaking families in the 1970s and 1980s and the promotion of the best Friulian wines on the menus of the Family's various restaurants in the United States. It was this passion for wine, combined with the desire to rediscover their origins, that led the family, in 1997, to plant the first vineyards in Cividale del Friuli, in one of Italy's most renowned areas for the production of white wines.

Tasting Notes

Type: White Wine
Grape Variety: Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc
Viticulture: Organic Farming

The nose reveals a complex bouquet of wildflowers, honey, and ripe pear. Additional notes include very ripe peach, Amarena cherry, bitter almond, and yellow rose. On the palate, Vespa Bianco 2020 is elegant and soft, with bright freshness, persuasive minerality, and lasting persistence. It is full-bodied and rich, with a salty undertone, and appears somewhat settled and full on the finish.
