About The Winery

Country: Italy
Region:
Piedmont

Le Dive's Moscato d'Asti offers a joyful, sweet, and lightly sparkling expression from the renowned Piedmont region. It is crafted to showcase the intensely aromatic, pure fruit character of this historic Italian wine, prioritizing a delicate sweetness and a lively, refreshing energy.

Terroir: The grapes are meticulously sourced from the designated DOCG area in the rolling hills surrounding the town of Asti. The vines flourish in predominantly calcareous marl and limestone soils. This specific soil composition is vital for retaining the grape's natural acidity and aromatic finesse, which is absolutely crucial for perfectly balancing the wine's inherent sweetness.

Style: This wine is a pure 100% Moscato Bianco style, the exclusive grape required to produce authentic Moscato d'Asti.

Vinification: The winemaking focuses entirely on capturing the fresh, sweet fruit aromas and a gentle effervescence. The juice undergoes a partial fermentation in pressurized, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The fermentation is intentionally halted by dramatically chilling the wine when it reaches around 5% to 5.5% alcohol by volume. This precise method leaves a generous amount of natural residual sugar from the grapes and traps a delicate, creamy fizz before bottling.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: A bright, brilliant pale straw-yellow hue with delicate golden reflections and a very fine, gentle, and creamy fizz.

Nose: Highly fragrant, sweet, and classic. It bursts from the glass with intense, lifted aromas of ripe white peach, candied apricot, and vibrant orange blossom. As it breathes, it reveals comforting, sophisticated layers of white honey and a delicate, herbal touch of fresh wild sage.

Palate: Sweet, luscious, and beautifully refreshing. The attack is generous, instantly coating the palate with concentrated flavors of juicy stone fruit and honey. Despite its rich sweetness, it is perfectly lifted and supported by a crisp, lively acidity and the gentle tickle of its lightly sparkling texture. The finish is remarkably clean, vibrant, and fiercely aromatic.
