About The Winery

Country: France
Region:
Champagne

Barbier-Louvet is more than a champagne house; it is a living family chronicle that began in 1835 with founder Théophile Blondel. For over seven generations, the family has passed down their winemaking know-how as a "true family secret" to preserve absolute authenticity. The current domain was solidified in 1970 through the marriage of the Barbier and Louvet families, and today, siblings Céline and David carry the torch. The "Héritage" cuvée is a pure Blanc de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir), sourced from vines aged 30 to 35 years. It captures the essence of the Montagne de Reims, balancing the richness of the fruit with the unique dual climate—oceanic and continental—of the region.

Format: Presented here in a half-bottle (375ml), offering a perfect, intimate tasting experience.

Ageing: 2 to 3 years in the cellar to develop texture and depth.

Dosage: 8 g/L, providing a structured yet generous profile.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: A deep golden hue with copper highlights typical of Pinot Noir, animated by a fine and persistent effervescence.

Nose: Expressive and greedy. It reveals intense aromas of red berries and stone fruits, rounded out by warm notes of brioche and fresh bread.

Palate: The attack is frank and vinous. This is a structured, full-bodied champagne where the power of the fruit is perfectly balanced. The finish is long, fruity, and satisfying.
