Blason d'Issan: An amazing Margaux Second Wine with Crunchy Tannins
Blason d'Issan is the second wine of Château d’Issan, a historic Bordeaux estate with a legacy dating back to the 12th century.
The Blason d’Issan, Second Wine of Château d’Issan was created in 1995.
With an average age of 35 years, the 44-hectare vineyard is planted on gravelly hills and alluvial hills. The vintage benefited from ideal conditions: a rainy start to the year followed by perfect flowering, a hot and dry summer, and crucial September rains that, combined with an Indian summer, ensured optimal grape maturation. It is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in barrels with 35% new oak.
